The purpose of the Weavers Guild of Greater Baltimore is to increase the general knowledge of the fiber arts and to encourage them as hobbies and creative activities. The Guild strives to meet these goals through monthly meetings, a resource library and equipment rentals. The Weavers Guild of Greater Baltimore sponsors all weaving classes in cooperation with Catonsville Recreation and Parks Council and Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks.
Approximately 150 weavers, spinners, dyers, and related fiber artists from Central Maryland make up the current membership. You can also meet guild members demonstrating at the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival each May.
